Management of childhood cancer involves knowledge of multiple specialties and skillsets. Case-based learning, originating at Harvard Business School in 1920, is a well-established educational method. A good working definition of case-based learning in medical practice is by Thistlewaite et al. ""The goal of case-based learning is to prepare students for clinical practice, through the use of authentic clinical cases. Case-based learning provides students with an opportunity to see theory in practice and real cases expose them to multiple opinions and counter points.

• Chapters have been authored by the Pediatric Oncology Superspecialty Students under the guidance of the faculty at All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, India.
• Discusses the approach to the management of challenging cases in clinical practice that would benefit postgraduates and fellows pursuing a super-specialization course in pediatric oncology.
• At the end of each chapter, the respective authors have taken opinions from another expert on how they would have approached this case, adding value to the scientific content of the chapter.
