Postgraduate Ophthalmology, third edition is an extremely well-illustrated colossal compendium of current ophthalmological practices and knowledge base.
This successor of the previous two editions is now divided into three thematic volumes. Volume 1 comprises five comprehensive sections on optics and refraction, basic specialties as well as translational work related to ophthalmology, ophthalmic health care, systemic ophthalmology, and trauma. Volume 2 has four elaborate sections on ocular anatomy, physiology and diseases of the ocular surface, cornea, lens, glaucoma, uvea, vitreous, and retina. Volume 3 consists of six sections on pediatric ophthalmology, strabismus, neuro-ophthalmology, orbit, eyelid, lacrimal system, and ocular oncology.
The last section is an extensive Atlas on pathology and microbiology slides, relevant neuro-radiology plates, and ophthalmic differential diagnosis of relevance to ophthalmic students, especially for exams.
This book has 164 chapters and approximately 5500 illustrations and is expected to continue to be a holistic educational support to postgraduate students in ophthalmology, ophthalmic fellows training in different ophthalmic subspecialties, general and specialty-based ophthalmic practitioners, ophthalmic and visual science researchers, teachers, mentors and guides. From this edition onwards, a digital version of this book is also available.
