This CBS edition has been completely recomposed, reset and freshly paginated with current set of layout style and modern graphic techniques and skills. The useful style of textual presentation of the last edition has been retained as the students liked it. Some chapters have been completely rewritten or improved, notably those dealing with 'shock', 'fluid and electrolyte balance', 'acid-base balance', 'healing of wounds', 'burns', 'blood transfusion', 'cysts', 'ulcers', 'arterial impairment and gangrene', 'abscess', 'gas gangrene', 'tetanus'. Intravenous fluid therapy, skin grafting and treatment and investigations of arterial impairment and gangrene have made great strides and the new material has been incorporated in this edition.
